Pear Tree phases

So... our weather here in Virginia has been weird temp wise this winter. For example, it had finally started to get down to the 30s but now this weekend the temps are climbing up to the 60s, possible even 70 one day this weekend. It isn't any wonder that people have have been getting so sick across the state.

So why the flower pic? Just to prove how this wacky weather is screwing up the trees. I took these photos last March from the trees near my house. Those trees already have buds. HUGE buds. This is only the 2nd week in January! >.> I'm hoping they don't go into full bloom till late March, like they typically do, but I'm concerned that they might bloom even earlier than last year. Which means this will be yet another early blooming year. Last year all the trees bloomed so much sooner than the norm. Not just these tress but others through out the year, like the Cherry Blossoms and uh.. well I don't recall what these other tress are, but there are a set of trees that would normally bloom late summer but had bloomed early summer instead.

Last year I didn't get any CHerry Blossom photos because of early blooming. Anyone notice anything similar happening where you live? (Weather affecting patterns of things around you?)
